original design
In Fall 2023, I brainstormed ideas for the first "Step Into Tech Job Fair" event my team and I held.
When brainstorming the promotional flyer we needed, I thought of how I could visually communicate "navigation", "motion", "paths", and "leading towards new opportunities".
I represented that idea through arrows, combining the technology element with a CPU graphic.
New design
Although my team and I were happy with how the design turned out, I wanted to refresh the flyer for Spring 2024's job fair.
I created four variations of the two slightly different versions (one with a QR code and one without).
A small issue we had ran into in Fall 2023 was that our flyer was lost amongst other flyers posted on student boards. To combat this, I designed that rightmost set to be particularly attention-grabbing, while not losing the contrast between colors and text (and thus accessibility).
I also redesigned the table flyers we used to represent teams and any available positions/links they wanted to share.
In order to increase engagement with hiring teams and students for Spring 2024's job fair, I also created small sheets for students to collect stickers for the chance to win prizes!
Here's me passing out this sticker at the event!
And to hold QR links about the teams hiring and our feedback survey, I created 2 last table flyers.

reflection
Is there anything I would change about the design?
Overall, I'm fairly happy with how the redesign came out, especially with the imagery I thought of back in Fall 2023.
That being said, I would alter the team flyers and our intro flyers to emphasize their purpose, ie. "List of Teams", over the event name.
This experience also taught me to be more conscious of testing my physical work by printing them and reminding me to be more mindful of contrast accessibility when designing.
P.S. That's me in the brown jacket :)
